M87 - Messier 87 - is in the Virgo constellation.
I am going to tell you something that you would not have heard from anywhere in the internet. In the 2nd week of April 2019 - which was last week - scientists came up with the relatively dimmer shot of a gigantic Black Hole.
Yeah. I can hear you yelling "We already knew it.".
But do you know why April? Why not in February? Why not in January? Why April in specific?
Ok. Here is why?
Constellation Virgo could be visible only for 6 months from the plane of view of Earth, from somewhere in March to somewhere in August. In March and in August, the constellation might be at the peripheral and therefore we can't get a clean shot. So technically the best time to capture a clear shot of this gigantic thing is from April to July.
This is why we have this news, in April.
Otherwise, an Alien in M87, if possessed a powerful telescope and saw Earth, it probably might have seen Dinosaurs and Raptors.
Now do you understand, why 'being judgmental' is not entirely wrong?
