Fancy Nuptials
We are at a time when shout-outs on 'normalizing divorces' are heard from everywhere. 99/100 times, creators try to capture a woman's struggle in remarriage, because it guarantees instant success. But what about men's struggles? Are there no victims in men? Are men insufferable? Women empowerment is ok but should it be at the cost of men?
I wanted to touch that 1/100 scenario, capture/document what happens to a genuine good guy post-divorce and what are their social implications. I wanted to touch this primarily because I just went by the saying that says 'Try the one that is both difficult and seldom touched by others'. (In fact, this is one of the prime mottos behind each of my works).
As usual most reputable publishing houses ignored this work the same way they ignored my other works on Mathematical fictions. Who really cares about topics that are 'considered' not so very sell-worthy? As usual Emerald is doing the needful to bring out such muffled and choked voices and make them heard (which is literature by itself in my opinion!!). I thank them for that.
